Many of us had feelings for a teacher at one point or another. Sometimes when a teacher crosses that line with an underage student, things go horribly awry. They can lose their job, go to jail, lose everything really, A college professor I know said he’s seen careers ruined, and that’s with ones of legal age, many schools do not allow any romantic relationships with the students and faculty of age or not, even if they are not their students, they could be if they chose to take one of that teachers classes. I was surprised at how strict things can be. I assumed if the student was of age, there wouldn’t be an issue, that is not the case.
It can be very overwhelming to have feelings for someone and feel you cannot act on them, either because they would not be reciprocated, or because there is some sort of rule or law against it. Not many people are going to quit their jobs just so they wouldn’t be at the same school as their partner, that’s really shaking up your life, and jobs are difficult to come by. You either just have to wait until the student is no longer a student at that school, or give up on that idea to begin with.
So many spend hours lovingly gazing at a teacher they have long fantasized about and so desperately want them to love them back so they can be together, but often such a union would be quite short lived any way, even if allowed to bloom. So many such relationships burn bright and fast and then leave nothing but trouble in their wake. So many things are really best left to remaining in fantasy rather than bringing into reality. Very few things actually live up to the expectation of them.
